By bringing ideas to life, we believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to a client’s needs. Here are some more examples of what we do.
“MAKEDA: QUEEN OF SHEBA”
Author Ronald Harrill wanted an updated version of his 1995 children’s book “Makeda: Queen of Sheba.” In addition to helping reacquire the publishing rights, A Touch of Omari handled the art direction, illustration, layout, typography, distribution and marketing. “Makeda: Queen of Sheba” won the International Book Awards’ category of Children’s Picture Book – Hardcover Non-Fiction.
“BOBBY AND BILLY GO FOR A RIDE”
As an aspiring guidance counselor, author Aaron Johnson wanted to start a series of children’s books that would provide teachable moments to young students. He created a series starring brothers Bobby and Billy Williams; Bobby is in high school who just got his driver’s license while Billy is a precocious 8-year-old. A Touch of Omari developed Aaron’s visual concepts, typography and layout and design while helping set up his publishing company and distribution arrangements.
“CHILDREN OF GENESIS: THE BLACK NATIONS IN THE OLD TESTAMENT”
Author Ronald Harrill wanted to create a historical book that looks at the African presence in the Old Testament. A Touch of Omari provided developmental editing, structural editing, research and proof-reading on the manuscript, a process that took more than one year to complete. Additionally, we handled all illustrations, infographics, maps, typography and layout and design.
